The Lilac Time in their own words
As we’ve just finished recording our eleventh long player and since it seems I’ll never finish writing a book on my own, The Lilac Time are going to tell stories about how we got from 1987 to here. Most of us are related and those who aren’t might as well be, and as it is in the band, so it is in the book – I rely on them to accompany me through the songs and the stories of how we got here.
There’ll also be previously unpublished photographs, notebooks, memorabilia, and ephemera in The Lilac Times: the story of a very English band of folk devils…
